Is this your experience when browsing the web?

Have you ever talked to someone with a disability that affects the way they use the Internet? My group of fellow students in DTC 475 Digital Diversity class at WSU Vancouver are working on our Final Project right now, which is about Web Accessibility best practices relating to people with cognitive disabilities in particular. Why are we focusing so much? For a few main reasons, which you’ll see below. Idea and Inspiration

PLAN OF ACTION

For this project, I needed to make a one to two minute audio story or interview with either narration and relevant ambient sounds and/or music, or my questions and someone else’s answers. I decided to do a brief how-to that would explain my secret to doing excellent professional digital media. Two Unedited Audio Files

Below are two of the audio files I will use in my Audio Project for COM 210 at WSUV. They are unedited and will only be used in part. I may have to redo the voice audio because the track is about five minutes long and the whole thing needs to be about one to two minutes in length. I plan to use about 18 seconds of the music as an intro and exit sound. Please feel free to leave comments below if you have any ideas for this work! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Continue reading Audio Project: Raw Audio Footage

SoundCloud Files

For these tutorials, I had to use Adobe Audition to edit some audio tracks, put together some interviews, and upload and share the files via SoundCloud. If you want to do audio editing work without spending a ton on annual fees, I suggest checking out Audacity, a free, open source program that works much like the program I used for these tutorials. Please feel free to let me know if you do check out Audacity or enjoyed these audio files. Thanks! Continue reading Audition Tutorials
